Cinnamon Hearts & Comfort in the Chaos

Life lately feels loud in the best way. Our baby has officially entered her big energy era. More movement and more personality every single day. It’s amazing and exhausting and hilarious all at once. The kind of tired that comes from loving something so much you forget what sitting still feels like.

Along with all Izzy’s new energy has come a lot of thinking. About balance. About who I am outside of being a mom, athlete, or baker. About where I want my time, creativity, and energy to go next. Prairie Whisk, motherhood, training, life in general. It all feels like it’s shifting, and I’m learning that it’s okay not to have a clear direction yet. Sometimes the season is about asking the questions, not rushing the answers.

Valentine’s Day this year is low-key and honestly kind of perfect. No big plans. Just making a heart-shaped pizza at home and doing some packing for our upcoming trip.

In the middle of all this, I’ve been leaning into small routines that make the days feel grounded. A warm drink during nap time. A quiet moment before the house gets loud again. Little things that help me slow down when everything else feels fast.

That’s where this Cinnamon Heart Latte fits in. Warm, slightly sweet, and easy to make. The kind of drink you sip while thinking through big thoughts or just enjoying a rare moment of quiet.

Here’s the cozy drink I’ve been making lately.
