Life lately has been a mix of challenges, learning, and joy. The 6–9 month stage with my little one has been way harder than newborn life, but also much more fun. There’s a lot more moving, more curiosity, more little hands grabbing everything, and more things to figure out every day. Every day also brings new milestones: first babbles, first attempts at walking, and endless smiles that make the chaos worth it.
I’m still learning the ropes of motherhood. Balancing baking, working, mothering, and slowly returning to being an athlete again is not always easy. Some days feel overwhelming, some days feel smooth, and some days feel like a mix of both. I’m learning to celebrate the small win. Whether its finishing a batch of cookies while the baby naps, sneaking in a short workout, or just surviving a day with minimal meltdowns. It’s all part of figuring out what works for us, and accepting that some days, balance is messy.
I am excited to celebrate Izzie’s first Easter. I am of course a holiday mom and have had lots of fun picking out her Easter basket. We are also going to hide eggs around the house with puffs inside as she can’t have chocolate yet. Here are some of my favorite basket stuffers if you have a young one to shop for:

Lately, I’ve also started easing back into training again, and it feels really good. My body feels fresh, which I don’t take for granted, and I’m trying to focus on building back slowly and working on some of my weaknesses. It’s a different mindset than before—less pressure, more patience. Right now, I’m just showing up, putting in the work, and seeing how it goes. No expectations, just trusting the process and enjoying the feeling of moving again.
And in the middle of all of it, I’ve found a little personal joy in something chocolatey, festive, and comforting: the Mini Egg Latte. Whether you prefer it hot or iced, it’s the perfect treat to sip slowly while enjoying a quiet moment.

Double Shot Espresso
5-8 Mini Eggs
1 tbsp Vanilla Syrup (optional)
1 cup Milk
Whipped Cream (optional)
- Iced:
Ice
Double Shot Espresso
1 cup milk
3 Mini Eggs
1 tbsp white Chocolate Sauce (I use Torani)
3 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla syrup
Directions
- Grate 5 mini eggs using a microplaner. The small pieces will ensure the chocolate melts into the espresso nicely.
- Brew a double shot of espresso over a mug with the grated mini eggs. Stir. Add vanilla syrup is using.
- Froth the milk and pour over the espresso.
- Chop the remaining mini eggs into small pieces. If using whipped cream, pipe a swirl over the latte and top with mini eggs. You can also put the mini eggs over the frothed milk if you prefer not to add whipped cream.
- Enjoy!
- Iced Latte
- Put a scoop of ice in a glass.Pour while chocolate sauce on the sides of your glass.
- Froth milk on either an iced setting if your machine is capable or froth with hand frother. Pour over ice.
- Brew double shot espresso over milk.
- Make Cold foam: Add 3 tbsp heavy cream, 1 tbsp milk, and 1 tbsp vanilla syrup to a jar and use either a handheld frother or a blender to thicken.
- Pour cold foam over iced latte and top with chopped mini eggs!
